Three Deqing parks leave autumn leaves in place

Three Deqing parks are leaving fallen leaves in selected areas for autumn walks, with litter collected and full sweeping resumed when weather creates a hazard.

Three parks in Deqing (德清) have begun leaving fallen leaves in selected areas for autumn walks and photographs. Zhejiang Online (浙江在线) reported the change on 19 October 2026. The parks are Tashan Park (塔山公园), Yingxi Park (英溪公园) and Chunhui Park (春晖公园).

Deqing News (德清新闻网) published more detail on 20 October, supplied by the county’s administrative enforcement department (德清综合执法). Early each morning, staff remove damaged leaves and litter. During the day they pick up rubbish, leaving fresh leaves in the designated areas. Shrub beds and hidden corners are still cleared of fallen leaves and branches.

Rain, strong wind or fog can bring full sweeping back wherever slippery leaves or blocked drains create a hazard. Leaf retention resumes once the weather clears and paths dry.

Neither report gives an end date. The county government’s website could not be reached for a separate check, so the arrangements here rest on the two published reports.

Choose a dry day if seeing the leaves is the reason for your visit. After bad weather, staff may have cleared them to keep paths safe.

What this means for a visitor: Visit in dry weather if you want to see the retained leaves, since staff resume full sweeping wherever wet leaves or blocked drains create a hazard.
