Visit Moganshan is published by BeyondBorder Group Ltd, registered in Hong Kong. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company, "the site" means visitmoganshan.com and everything served from it, and "you" means anyone using it.
Accepting these terms
Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. They work alongside our privacy policy, ourcookie policy and, if you send us photographs or words for publication, our user generated content terms.
What this site is
An independent travel guide to Moganshan and the surrounding part of Deqing county: how to get there, where to stay, what there is to do and when to come. It is editorial information, freely published for planning purposes.
It is not a travel agency, a tour operator, a booking agent or a licensed adviser of any kind. We do not sell transport, accommodation, tickets or insurance, we hold no funds on your behalf, and we are not party to any contract you enter with a hotel, host, operator or carrier.
Accuracy
We research every page, we date every page, and we correct them when we learn they are wrong. That is a serious commitment and it is still not a guarantee. Bus and train times change without notice. Ticket prices rise. Trails close for maintenance, weather or fire risk. Hotels change hands, change policy and change their attitude to foreign passports. Roads up the mountain close in snow and at peak holiday periods.
So treat the site as a well researched starting point and confirm anything your trip actually depends on with the operator, the property or the official source before you rely on it. That goes double for last transport of the day, entry requirements, closing dates and anything involving a fixed connection.

Booking and third parties
When you follow a link from this site to a hotel, a host, a rail or flight booking system, a ticketing platform or a map service, you leave our site and deal directly with that company under its own terms and its own privacy policy. Your contract is with them. Payment, confirmation, changes, cancellation, refunds and complaints are matters between you and them, and we have no ability to intervene.
We choose the properties and operators we write about on editorial grounds, but we do not inspect, licence, insure or supervise any of them, and their appearance on this site is not a warranty about their conduct or their safety.
How we make money
Some links on this site may earn us a commission if you book through them, at no additional cost to you. Commission never buys a place in a ranking, never buys a favourable line, and never prevents us from writing that somewhere is not worth the money. Where a commercial relationship exists, we disclose it. The full statement of how the site is funded is on theAbout page, and it is the sentence we would most like you to hold us to.
Specifically: every rates link on this site, including every "Check dates" link in the property listings, goes to Trip.com through a tracked path and earns us a commission if you book. You pay the same price you would pay going to Trip.com directly. It changes nothing about which properties are listed or in what order, and there is no field in the data behind those listings that could promote one property over another. What that pays for and what it does not buy is set out at how this site is funded.
Nothing on a property card is written by us. The photographs, the review scores and the prices are Trip.com's, captured from their listing rather than composed here, and "Check dates" opens Trip.com in a new tab.
Our content
The text, photographs, maps, illustrations, design, code and marks on this site belong to BeyondBorder Group Ltd or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law.
You are welcome to read the site, print pages for your own trip, and quote a short extract with attribution and a link back. You may not republish substantial parts of the guide, copy its structure or copy wholesale, scrape it for a competing directory, use our photographs or marks commercially, or feed it into a product or dataset that reproduces it, without our written permission. Ask us. We say yes more often than you would expect.
Your content
If you send us a photograph, a correction, a review or any other material for publication, theuser generated content terms apply to it. In short: it stays yours, you give us permission to publish it, and you confirm it is genuinely yours to give.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site unlawfully, or in a way that breaks the law of your own country or of China;
- scrape, crawl at a rate that degrades service, or attempt to bypass any technical measure protecting the site;
- attempt to gain access to systems, accounts or data that are not yours;
- introduce malware, or use the site to distribute it, or attack its availability for others; or
- impersonate us, or present the guide as your own work or as endorsing a business.
We may block access where we reasonably believe any of the above is happening.
Availability
We publish this site as a static build and we work hard to keep it fast and reachable, including from inside mainland China. We still cannot promise it will always be available, or reachable from every network, and we may change, move or withdraw any page at any time. Nothing here is a commitment to keep a particular page online forever.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude the implied warranties and conditions that would otherwise apply to it, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from reliance on anything published here, including missed transport, cancelled or unsatisfactory accommodation, closed attractions, additional costs, lost time or lost enjoyment, or from your dealings with any third party you found through us.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for a reader of this guide is nothing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules in your own country.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given it up.
Changes
We update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page is the date of the current version, and using the site after a change means you accept the version then published.
